We’re delighted to be able to share some news about some internal promotions here at Watson Ramsbottom!
The hard work of our staff—whose efforts consistently drive us to break our records year on year—has been instrumental in facilitating the growth that Watson Ramsbottom has been able to enjoy. Recognising the pivotal role our people play in this success and our continued commitment to career progression, we are excited to announce several role changes that we would like to formalise.
Within our Property Department, we have made the following changes –
Rebecca Fisher has now been appointed as a Director. Based at our Carters office over in Pontefract, Rebecca is described by clients as being “very friendly and professional” and “easy to work with,” Rebecca’s understanding of the demands of a complex property transaction and ability to provide tailored advice and support in each individual matter make her a perfect fit for the position of Director.
Sophie Harwood will now head the Clitheroe office, moving from the Accrington branch. Sophie is an Associate Solicitor who specialises in Residential Property Law.
Hannah Brown has now been promoted to Associate Solicitor.
Hannah’s experience in dealing with all areas of residential conveyancing including sales, re-mortgages, freehold purchases and the complex documentation involved in new build properties (in which she has become an expert) particularly in the complex field of shared ownership and the various government supporting schemes including Help to Buy has been invaluable to the conveyancing team.
Hannah Pilkington returns to our Accrington office as an Associate Solicitor.
Hannah has expertly dealt with all aspects of both new build purchases and the related sales since joining us in 2017. Her knowledge of re-mortgages, residential transactions and freehold purchases will undoubtedly see her continue to succeed in her new role.
Karen Grandidge becomes the latest Senior Conveyancing Executive in our team.
Karen joined our Conveyancing team at Carters in Pontefract in April 2022 and has gone on to manage countless successful transactions, assisting with the skill and finesse clients of the Watson Ramsbottom family have come to expect.
Within our Private Client Department, we’ve made the following changes –
Emma Walker has been promoted to Senior Associate Solicitor.
Emma’s dedication and exceptional legal acumen have greatly contributed to our firm’s success, and this promotion is a recognition of her outstanding work.
Charlotte Ledson has been promoted to an Associate Solicitor and will be the head of our Chorley office.
Charlotte has amassed vast amounts of experience throughout her career and has advised on hundreds of Wills and Estate planning matters while remaining committed to providing the friendly and expert legal advice she has become renowned for.
Abigail Sunter has also been promoted to an Associate Solicitor.
Abigail joined us at Watson Ramsbottom in 2021 and has since become one of our leading experts in the private client department. Her promotion not only reflects the depth of knowledge at her disposal, but also her ability to assist however complex the situation may be.
